Back from the Shadows: Revisiting the ‘90s Horror Icons
For our special Halloween story, Mature Magazine took a spooky trip to Lansing, Michigan, where two models brought some of the ‘90s most iconic horror villains back to life. With Ghostface from Scream, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, and Michael Myers from Halloween lurking around the set, the shoot had a nostalgic yet chilling vibe. Shot by the talented Dajon Johnson and with a video directed by Charles Hawthorne, the visuals capture the eerie essence of these masked villains that still give millennials the creeps to this day.
While the trio looked right at home in their vintage terror garb, Freddy Krueger, unfortunately, couldn’t make it—rumor has it that his mask just wasn’t a good fit this time around! But even without him, our frightful crew served up plenty of scares and fun, proving that these horror legends aren’t ready to retire yet. Whether they’re haunting our nightmares or simply lurking in our memories, these villains are here to remind us why the ‘90s horror reigns supreme.
