Emily in Paris Season 4: Netflix’s Most Stylish Drama Returns, but the Wait Isn’t Over
If you've been following Emily in Paris from the start, you'll know that the end of Season 3 left us on quite the cliffhanger. The drama peaked at Camille and Gabriel's almost wedding, where Camille dropped a bombshell, revealing that Emily and Gabriel had been in love all along. Alfie broke things off with Emily, leaving her devastated; it just got messy, but what could you expect? When you thought things couldn't get more complicated, Camille confessed that she's pregnant, adding another twist to the already tangled web of messiness.
As we step into Season 4, the story picks up right where it left off, with Emily now having to navigate the emotional fallout from her breakup with Alfie while trying to sort out her true feelings for Gabriel. Camille's pregnancy looms over Emily and Gabriel's budding romance, threatening any chance for them to be happy. Meanwhile, Camille rekindles her romance with Sofia, creating an intricate love quadrangle that keeps the drama at an all-time high.
Season 4 explores the complexities of love, loyalty, and ambition, all set against the alluring backdrop of Paris. Emily, still the ever-optimistic and ambitious marketing exec, juggles more than her job responsibilities. The show continues to deliver the signature blend of romance and fashion that fans adore, but with a newfound depth as the characters face some of their most challenging decisions.
Now, onto the first half of Season 4, I binged with my little dog, Remy. The first five episodes delivered all the drama, fashion, and French spirit we've come to expect—and so much more.
Lily Collins, as always, captivates as the stylish and spirited Emily. She kicked off the season in a pink ribbed cardigan by Jacquemus paired with a 2-piece floral set by Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini. This opening look was quintessentially Emily—feminine, chic, and effortlessly Parisian. But while her ensemble was undeniably on point, it was hard not to be captivated by Ashley Park's character, Mindy. Mindy came in with a bombing graffiti-print jacket by Philipp Plein, a bold and edgy statement that perfectly contrasted Emily's softer, more romantic style. The interplay between their fashion choices beautifully mirrors the dynamic of their friendship, with Emily's classic elegance balancing Mindy's fearless fashion risks.
And, of course, a review would only be complete with a nod to the ever-fabulous Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. Sylvie remains the epitome of Parisian sophistication, and her wardrobe is a testament to her impeccable taste. In episode 1, she stuns in a suede 2-piece from Rick Owens, which looks sleek and seductive. Sylvie's presence on screen is a masterclass in sophisticated sexiness—she's a character who commands respect and admiration with every glance and gesture, effortlessly reminding us why she's the boss.
Let's also talk about my favorite look of Camille: the Aza Jacket in Black by Fidan Novruzova paired with an asymmetric miniskirt in black, featured in episode 3. The look was so chic and rebellious that I literally threw my pillow at the screen.
But it was episode 4 that had me hooked. Emily's masquerade look, custom-made by Nina Ricci, was a breathtaking blend of mystery and elegance. With its intricate details and exquisite craftsmanship, the gown attached at the waist was a visual eat, perfectly capturing the party's theme. Watching Emily glide through the masquerade felt like being transported to a Parisian vintage dream, reminding me of some iconic Audrey Hepburn moment.
As we wait for the second half of the season, I can't help but wonder what other surprises are in store. Who is the new mystery man, Marcello, whom Emily meets while skiing? Will Gabriel get a Michelin star? Will Camille share the secret she's keeping? Will the beauty market discover that Kadiance is a lube for the face? So many questions. With so many ups and downs, the final episodes will surely be a wild ride.
The anticipation for the next episodes is real, and I'm sure the audience is as excited as I am to see how the story unfolds. But for now, I'll leave you with this: if you still need to catch up on Emily in Paris, do yourself a favor and start streaming now. Trust me, you won't want to miss a single moment of this chic adventure—part 2 streams on September 12th.
