BRITISH FASHION COUNCIL REVEALS NOMINEES FOR THE FASHION AWARDS 2024 PRESENTED BY PANDORA

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the nominees, so the wait is almost over. On December 2nd in London, the 2024 Fashion Awards presented by Pandora will take place at the Royal Albert Hall. This night will be full of people in the fashion industry who want to see who will be crowned as Designer of the Year. The award recognizes British or international designers whose collections have made a noteworthy influence on the industry; this year, nominees are Chemena Kamali, John Galliano, Jonathan Anderson (for JW Anderson and Loewe), Miuccia Prada (for Miu Miu), Pieter Mulier for Alaia and Rick Owens for Rick Owens who are all in the running for Designer of the Year.

The Fashion Awards was founded in 1989 to raise money for the BFC Foundation, which supplies funding and business mentoring for upcoming UK-based brands. Other categories this year include Model of the Year, British Menswear Designer of the Year, British Womenswear Designer of the Year, New Establishment Menswear, New Establishment Womenswear, and British Accessories Designer. In addition to the main categories, this year's awards will include the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Outstanding Achievement Award, Fashion Icon, and NEW WAVE: Creatives, an event to honor 50 young global talents.

The BFC announced that American photographer Tyler Mitchell has been named the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator recipient at this year's Fashion Awards.

2019 Daniel Lee swept four significant awards, including Brand and Womenswear Designer of the Year, while at Bottega Veneta. Now the Chief Creative Officer at Burberry, his absence from this year's accolades is noteworthy.
